Roadrunner Food Bank is looking for people to work in our warehouse who are passionate about helping hungry New Mexicans, embrace safety, learn quickly, and are willing to work hard in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for warehousing activities including: order pulling; stocking; loading and unloading; cleaning; inventory; customer service; record keeping, while adhering to safety, quality and food safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a warehouse environment, previous experience with forklifts, have good computer skills, can demonstrate effective communication skills, and be able work to a high standard.

Qualifications  

  • Some warehouse experience or intern training
  • Must possess communication and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Independent decision making skills
  • Able to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Able to pull a pallet jack with a load up to 1000 lbs
  • G.E.D or High School Diploma preferred

Physical Environment

Able to work in cold environment with proper protective equipment (-11 degrees)

Ability to move throughout the building

Lifting or moving up to 100 pounds for purposes of fulfilling orders

Long periods of standing and moving

Work will be both in and outdoors but can be subject to extreme temperatures in either environment

Moderate exposure to loud noise levels
